THUNDERDOME (2024, 17:37)
Documentary by Amy Seigel
DCLOLW intentionally did not allow matches to be filmed or recorded in their entirety. This ensured that events remained ephemeral, in the memories of the DCLOLW audience, rather than in perpetuity on the internet. This film was created by Amy Siegel for the Dawson City League of Lady Wrestlers Archive Project (Aubyn O’Grady and Amy Siegel) with never-before seen footage from the last DCLOLW ever, Thunderdome.
DCLOLW WRESTLING RING (2017)
Designed for the Dawson City League of Lady Wrestlers by Megan Gamble
The legendary Dawson City League of Lady Wrestlers ring was initially constructed in 2013 with only YouTube clips of backyard/ backwoods wrestlers as blueprints. But as the spectacle grew, so too did the need for a ring that was sturdy enough for fearless wrestlers to hurl themselves from the top ropes. Answering the call, Megan Gamble, better known by her wrestling persona, Janet O’Rial, designed and built the ring you see before you.
